CHEQUE BOUNCING CASES
Cheque Bouncing is a criminal offence under section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act. Cheque bouncing is a punishable offence if the cheque does not clears due to paucity of funds in drawer’s account. An imprisonment of two years or a fine which could be twice as high as the actual amount can be imposed on the drawer.
